how to jailbreak iPhone

i've been wanting to jailbreak my iPhone ever since i saw a super kawaii hello kitty iPhone theme but the rational side of me decided to put it off until the end of my iPhone's warranty... and now , there's no stopping me from jailbreaking my iPhone and getting that hello kitty iPhone theme :)

i was actually scared i might messed up my iPhone but lemme tell you, jailbreaking iPhone is sooo easy wahahahah (yabang mode to the max)...heniways, am using iPhone 3G running on OS 3.1.2 and i used MAC OS X

if you also want to jailbreak your iPhone here's a step by step how to do it

1. your iPhone 3G is running on OS 3.1.2

2. you have the latest version of iTunes (you can download iTunes 9.0.2 here)

3. once you have those version, make sure you sync your iPhone first so that if ever you encounter a problem you can easily restore your settings

4. download the jailbreak software - i installed blackra1n (you download it here and can follow this step by step procedure how to do it if your using MAC or Windows)

5. once you have downloaded the blackra1n / jailbreak software, just install it in your computer and its sooo easy and fast, just less than a minute and it will automatically reboot your iPhone

6. once your iPhone has rebooted you'll see the blackra1n icon on your phone, click on it to install the software, select Cydia wouldnt take that long, just make sure your wifi connection is stable.

7. and that it! Voila , you just jailbreaked your iPhone

now here comes the sweet part, the reason why i wanted to jailbreak my iPhone - to be able to install hello kitty iPhone theme right? ... and there i was scratching my head how i can install my pre downloaded hello kitty theme... here's the easy part - what's nice about Cydia is that it already has these tons of pre installed themes (they even have Avatar theme already!) and you just have to select which theme you want (again make sure you have a nice wifi connection for easy downloading)

so i opened Cydia, and from section i chose themes and then selected springboard theme, from there i was able to select the hello kitty theme, waited for the thing to finish downloading (took about less than 3 minutes) and automatically reboot the iPhone and voila!!

2009 at a glance....

Looking back through the 2009 i can say that the year has been a roller coaster ride much like the status of my beloved Philippines.... too many disasters (natural and man made) and all the tragedies and unthinkable things has happened in the last half of oh nine but as i have said we shouldnt also forget the good things that happened this year, think of the glory pacquiao brought us (just forget his affair and bad movies okay) and other filipinos who shine through and put the philippines in the world map again.  i think this is also the year where most of the important stars that i grow up wiht and loved has died and the passing of our yellow lady.  it just made you realize that nothing is permanent and nobody really knows what the future holds, one moment you're on top of the world and next you open you're eyes and found yourself deep in the gutter... but the good thing is that we all learn from our mistakes and there are still a lot to be thankful for... hmmm was 2009 a bad year? in some ways it was but overall we could have done better.... so here's hoping for a brighter and better year as we welcome a new decade :)

2010 resolutions...

and i think this is also the first time i'll make a new year's resolution after my infantile resolutions (read: student days and y'all know how long it has been hahaha) when i was still making one but i have to focus this time lest i forgot... but resolutions can be broken naman as soon as you made them diba? bwahahahah just kidding.

first of my resolution is i'll try  make sure that i continue my project - manila daily photo blog - just in case you forgot please do head over there and visit, though no new pictures yet... and hopefully i'll be a better photographer and capture things, people, places - the way i see it (jake sully: i see you chorvaness).  second is that i'll start loving myself first before anyone or anything coz sometimes i tend to get disoriented and out of focus that i start forgetting that i have my own goals and dreams for myself.  hmmm what else? dont trust too much, i have been a cynic but still dang i can be really gullible at times.  forget and forget, though it could be hard when some memories get triggered and you get yourself caught and reeling with the flashbacks.

afterthought....

i dunno if i have already posted it here or put it in some random post-it-notes or most prolly at the backof a notebook or planner... but i've always felt and known that i am destined to be someone great... it just so happen that i dont know yet how to do it and when it will happen but i know it will. hahahahha super feelinggera ko talaga :)

time to shed my cat skin and unleash the tiger within! rawrrrr :p

hope y'all had fun celebrating christmas and didnt forget the reason why we have pasko... this is a late post but i have been busy but still i want to share this essay made by my cousin who currently lives and works in korea... and i shed a tear while reading this piece, made me more thankful that i always spend the holidays with my family.. and this piece made me appreciate and admire all the OFWs... this one's for all the OFW sacrificing for their families... please read on.

"Silver bells, silver bells, it’s Christmas time in the city, children laughing, people passing, dressed in holiday style and on every street corner you’ll see… hmmmm, hmmmm... " napapasabay talaga ako sa mga Christmas songs na pinapatugtog sa paligid ng mall. Ramdam na ang presensya ng pasko dito sa Korea, kagaya nga ng kanta sa mall na pinuntahan ko, bawat sulok ay abala sa paghahanda sa paparating na kapaskuhan. Madami na ang nagkalat na Christmas light. Habang naglalakad ako pauwi sa aking tinutuluyan, napadako ako sa isang tahanan na nakaagaw sa aking atensyon kumakanta ang buong pamilya ng isang awiting pampasko,hindi ko man gaano maintindihan ang mga lyrics na kanilang inaawit, alam ko namang isa iyong Christmas song at pamilyar ako doon sa kantang iyon, Silent Night, kasabay ng nakakatuwang senaryong iyon ay ang malumanay na pag-ulan ng snow. Abuhang puting kulay, at dagli ay pumanaw ang ngiting dulot ng kagandahan ng nasa aking paligid, napailing na lamang ako at nasabi sa sarili kong, “it’s another white Christmas of my life”.


“Gusto ko ng SNOW…”, iyan ang madalas kong sabihin nung bata pa ako. Oo nga at ngayong nasa Korea na ako at nagtatamasa ng pinapangarap kong snow ay may tunay na kulang pa rin, kakulangang hindi kayang punan ng snow na aking matagal ng pangarap. Bagamat kailangan kong tatagan ang aking sarili ay nagiging marupok ako kapag PASKO ang paksa ng usapan. Akala marahil nang iba o ng karamihan na palibhasa at nasa ibang bansa ay bongga at sosyal ang magiging pasko mo, ngunit ito ay kabaligtaran sa kanilang inaakalang kagandahan, maling-mali sila. May snow, maganda at magarang bihis ng kapaligiran, at mga kakaibang pustura, ilan lamang iyan sa mga panandaliang saya namin dito.


Isa na lamang sa mga bagay na iniisip ko sa tuwing ako ay aabutin ng pasko sa aking pagtatrabaho dito sa Korea, ay ginagawa ko ang trabahong ito ng buong puso para makapagbigay ng isang maganda at masaganang pasko sa aking mga mahal sa buhay sa Pilipinas. Sa ganitong paraan ay naiibsan ang pangungulila ko sa kanila, lalo na at kapag nalaman kong nasiyahan sila sa aking mga ibinigay na mga regalo.


Masasabi kong walang tatalo sa leche flan at suman nina lola at nanay, sa karoling ng mga kapatid ko, iba pa rin talaga ang pakiramdam kung pamilya mo ang kasama mo. Ngunit ngayong lilipas na naman ang pasko ko na tanging ang binaong larawan at ang paulit-ulit na voice recorded tape lang ang aking makakasama bilang tanging kasama sa pagdiriwang ng kapaskuhan, sandali lang, ilang beses ko na nga bang napakinggan yun? Hindi ko na rin mabilang. Galing-galing na nga lang kung magagawa pa naming magtipun-tipon ng mga tulad kong nakikipagsapalaran dito sa Korea para makatulong sa aming pamilya, kung minsan kasi kahit pasko ay naghahanapbuhay pa rin ang iba sa amin. Kadalasan din ay ginugugol nila ang pasko sa pamamgitan ng pagiging abala sa pagtatrabaho at isa na rin ako sa mga iyon, dahilan namin ay, “…mabuti na ang ganito kaysa mamatay sa lungkot ng pag-iisip na isa na namang pasko ang nagdaang hindi ko nakapiling ang aking pamilya…” Kapag nagkakataon paminsan ay kami-kami ng mga kasamahan kong OFW ang gumagawa ng paraan para lamang maibsan ang kalungkutan, maging ang payak na tawanan pero minsan ito ay nauuwi rin sa iyakan. Kanya-kanyang saloobin ay naglalabasan na. At kakambal nga ng presensya ng kapaskuhan, nariyan ang mga kahilingan nila na kahit hindi namin kayang ibigay ay pinagsusumikapan namin, mapasaya lamang ang mga minamahal naming nasa Pinas, dumadating pa nga sa puntong iuutang namin sa aming amo at iyon ang ipambibili namin ng kanilang mga kahilingan, at kung minsan pa nga ay tinitipid namin ang aming mga sarili may mailaan lamang sa kanila, sabi nga nila, “it’s better to give than to receive” at “share your blessings”


Hindi ko rin naman mapigilang ikumpara ang pasko ng mga koreano at pinoy. Dito sa Korea, bongga nga ang pasko gaya ng obserbasyon ko sa paligid, papalapit pa lang ang pasko ay tila paskung-pasko na talaga dito at siyempre may snow. Kaibahan sa atin simple lamang dala na rin ng ating mayamang kultura, pero parang piyesta, sama-sama ang buong angkan pati pa nga ang mga kapitbahay. bigayan ng pagkain, pamamasko ng mga mumunting bata sa kanilang mga ninong at ninang. Sabay-sabay na pagbubukas ng mga regalo at ang pinakamahalaga sa mga Pinoy, ay ang nine mornings o mas kilala sa tawag na “SIMBANG GABI”. Kagaya nga ng nasa kanta ng isang singer na Pinay, “…may tatalo pa ba sa pasko ng ‘Pinas? Ang kaligayahan nami’y walang kupas…”, may tatalo pa nga ba sa ating Pasko? ‘diba wala?


Lahat ng iyan ay ang mga ala-alang binabaon ko sa tuwing magpapasko sa Korea. Ipinapagpasalamat ko na lamang sa Diyos na sa oras ng kalungkutan, hindi Niya ako pinababayaan, maging ang aking pamilyang nasa Pilipinas.
Ngayon, habang nag-aayos ako ng mga ipapadala sa kanila bilang regalo, naisip ko lang, kamusta na naman kaya ang magiging pasko nilang hindi na naman nila ako kasama?

sorry folks if it's been a while since i posted something here, facebook is really killing my blog i guess coz i find it more convenient to post status update in FB but still there are some stuff i can only write here in the blog and some stuff that i want to share the whole world like my wonderful meet up with none other than Hello Kitty! :D

eyebags kung eyebags diba pero keri na rin basta katabi si hello kitty sa picture, kaw ba naman puro party sarap talaga pag christmas season hehehe (yeah iniinggit kita chito and lahat ng di makapasko sa pinas LOL)... heniways even though i only had less than 3 hours of sleep hafta force my eyes to open and get up coz its meeting hello kitty noh...

twas super fun, seeing hello kitty and watching her sing and dance live (wahahah parang bata, batang isip? LOL)... will just share some of the photos here but most of the photos you can find in my FB album.

there was hand/face painting, nail art, coloring chorva, and of course hello kitty :D

lost my favorite hello kitty earing! wahhhhhhhh :((
it's been with me for years and now the other pair is lost forever huhuhu
the only consolation i have is that i can still use the remaining earing as a pendant or a pin but still it's heartbreaking that i lost her.. just wish whoever found the other pair will take care of kitty and love it and wear as much as i did.

lessons learned:
may mga bagay talaga na kahit mahal na mahal mo mawawala sayo sa ayaw at sa gusto mo, kahit anong pag iingat pa ang gawin mo.

pagka mawawala talaga ang isang bagay kahit anong iyak at pagpilit na mahanap di mo na sya ulet makikita... at kahit ano pa ang gawin mo hindi na sya mababalik sayo.

chelsea

it's been a while since i posted something about my favorite niece, chelsea - so here she is all grown up and she's already 3 and a half years old... but sometimes i wonder if she really is an old lady just pretending to be a kid hehehe

sometimes you just cant help but laugh at her especially if she dont want you to bother her she'll tell you am already tired.. or if she doesnt want to talk to you she'll say "antok na ko.... tutulog na ko!" wahahaha  ayuf na bata LOL

but yeah, she's still a kid...an uber kulit kid

wahahaha just a few moments after i posted this i showed chelsea my old posts about her  and she was looking at the photos and she saw this PIC hahahha and she asked "sino yna? pangit!" wahahahhah told her it's you LOL and she doesnt wanna look at the pics na hahahaha
