hello kitty christmas at the north part 1 of 3

Imagine a wonderful hello kitty day that any hello kitty lover dreams of - a truly spectacular and amazing day that is! And that is what i have experienced last saturday when i attended the launching of "Hello Kitty Christmas at the North" at The Block, SM City North Edsa.

I am so happy to be given an opportunity to attend and get an invite to this event. Any Hello Kitty fan would love it! To be honest, i was a bit skeptical when i got a comment from one of my hello kitty posts asking if i would be willing to lend my hello kitty collection for an exhibit at the mall, but being a true hello kitty fan girl i immediately emailed back that i would be delighted. Little did I know that aside from my hello kitty stuff getting exhibited, that they would also have a grand opening and a Hello Kitty Village treat at SM North Edsa.

But due to circumstances I arrived late (sob! i know right!) i was planning to be there early so i can take pictures and take everything in but i had to accompany my mother in a painting exhibit at filinvest early saturday morning and just got home around 12noon tired and sleepy, so after eating lunch i decided to take a nap so that i will have a beauty rest hahaha, i really wanted to prepare myself and kittify myself for this event, i even had my nails painted with hello kitty friday night. i was planning to wear my most colorful hello kitty outfit and even wear my hello kitty contact lenses for the event but all of that didn't happened (aside from the hello kitty nails) cause i woke up at 3pm already and i had to take shower, etc, etc.
i was already panicking knowing that the program starts at 4pm and i was still at the house at quarter to four. and to my frustration, it was like i am never going to make it at all because of traffic! it didnt helped that the shortcut to 5th avenue station is closed due to road construction! i was really tempted to get out of the cab and just run to get past the traffic and hail a new cab past the snail moving traffic but that would mean me getting sweat and eww so i had to sit through the traffic and thank goodness arrived at The Block at 30minutes past 4pm.

wow! didn't know that sports wear like arena also collaborated with hello kitty :) thankfully i saw the hello kitty arena poster in front of planet sports house in glorietta with the tag line i love to swim

checked out the store and i got so excited seeing these swimsuits, unfortunately they only carry these designs and mostly stuff for kids, even though when i checked online there are nice hello kitty swimsuit design for adults, but the sales lady told me to wait they could have new items too.

hello kitty x arena got swimsuits, goggles, dry bag, slippers, and dry towels as well.

since i lost/left my goggles at calaguas, i've been thinking of buying a new one but good thing i've waited, maybe i knew that there would be a hello kitty goggles soon :)) so i got myself this new hello kitty goggles

and i've meaning to buy a dry bag for my stuff, since i am always at the beach, my old one (the free item that i got from avon has retired and was small. this hello kitty dry bag is super! big enough and with a handy strap so you can easily carry it buy just slinging on your shoulder. and the price is just the same that you can buy from north face and other sports house. so happy to have a drybag with hello kitty face on it. and the back portion have the i love to swim :)

and most importantly, i now have a dry towel! i've been meaning to get one of those travel towel that is easy to pack and easy to dry but i find them expensive. until i saw this hello kitty arena dry towel. the price is the same with other brands but htis have a hello kitty. hehehe

so i am all set to go to the beach this long week end :)) one happy pusa here hehehehe. so where are you going this long weekend?

PHILTOA Tourism Expo

planning a vacation? now is the time!

If you've ever thought about taking a vacation and exploring the Philippines, now would be the best time to turn that idea into a reality.

It doesn't matter if you want a quiet retreat or a thrilling adventure; whether you're planning your honeymoon or just going out with friends, there is no shortage of options in the upcoming 23rd Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) this coming August 10 to 12 at the SMX convention Center in Pasay City.

Now bigger than ever, the Philippine Travel Mart (PTM)—the longest-running travel trade show in the country—is set to showcase the Philippines in the upcoming Sale ng Bayan. Featuring heritage and eco-adventure tours from all over the Philippines, the 23rd PTM is the result of various familiarization and exploration trips that bring new tour products into the market every year.

The annual event is organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), in cooperation with the Department of Tourism. With almost 250 exhibitors presenting their tour products through colorful pavilions and booths, the Sale ng Bayan will also launch “Philippine Island Fun Caravan Getaways”—joint group tours that cover various locations from all over the Philippines. These 4-day to 8-day tours pool local, balikbayan, and foreign tourists together to avail of special packages that would have otherwise cost a lot of money if done individually. Featured tours include the Batanes-Cagayan Northern-scape, Cordilleras Cultural Weekend Warrior Caravan, Central Visayas Backdoor tour, and the Tuna-T'Boli trail, among others.

“It has always been our goal to outdo ourselves every year,” says PHILTOA President Cesar Cruz, who is also the chairman of the upcoming PTM. “Innovation is key. We've been working closely with tour operators and government agencies alike to offer newer, better products yearly.”

Like most trade shows, the PTM will still feature classic destinations such as Bohol, Boracay, Cebu and Palawan. Also not to be missed are the individual tour packages that have anywhere from 70 to 80% discounted prices, such as “Kulinarya” (Binondo food trip for as low as P648), “Health and Wellness” (Tagaytay Wellness trip for as low as P2900), “Festivals” (Panagbenga trip for as low as P5500), and many more. Aside from the endless array of tour products in the country's biggest gathering of tour operators, the PTM will also provide informative seminars for students dubbed as Byahe-info. Also scheduled is an Eco Chorale Competition, a Folk Dance Competition, and even a Tourism Quiz Bee—ensuring educational activities for everyone in attendance.

It's more fun in the Philippines!

The Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), Inc. is a non-stock and non-profit organization of tour operators and allied members actively involved in the advocacy of responsible tourism. The membership includes travel agencies, hotel, resorts, transportation companies, handicraft stores, and other tourism-oriented establishments and associations.
