perfumes for women

most women love perfume and I have some friends who can’t go out without wearing one, it’s like part of their standard routine or get up. wearing perfume is not only for vain women, admit it we all want to look our best and smell good and there are really good perfumes for women. and it really feels good when you’re smelling good and people compliment or even sniff (but not in a freaky way huh) your perfume and tell you that your perfume is good. personally, I prefer mint or ocean scented perfumes, it makes me feel like I just came out of the shower every time and there are times that I would love to dab on a good fruity smell. before i just spray on everywhere but learned in the course of time the proper way of applying perfume. anyways valentine is near and giving a bottle of perfume is a sure way of melting your partners’ hearts *wink* and there are a lot of choices, just scour the internet for prices and scents available. also, make sure that the scent reflect the personality of the person you’re giving it to, oh yes I believe there is a certain scent or perfume that reflects one’s personality. but if you’re buying perfume for yourself, you already know what you want right?

and i totally agree. and i would give my all out support to help promote pinas and i would like to encourage every Filipino to do their share in promoting our country, enough of the negativity peeps. good vibes yes!

though one thing is that i know for a fact that commuting is not fun here, take that from a commuter who rides the LRT and MRT everyday.

but i am also hoping that the government and their respective departments do their part in improving the infrastructure and our transportation system. since the DOT is pushing and campaigning hard to attract more tourists, i hope that they could truly say that it is indeed more fun in the philippines.

Hello Kitty X Crocs

I never liked Crocs but My addiction with Hello Kitty made me bought a pair. First saw these kawai shoes at edsa shangrila but i have to stop myself from buying that pair last summer because i just bought a trekking shoes (the most expensive shoes i bought in my whole life lol). So i told myself i'll just buy it the following month or when i got the mollah but that didn't happen soon cause hello kitty is so kawai and i bet her fans hoarded and bought every single pair there is. I've been searching for this pair since then from all malls with crocs boutique i ever set foot On but nada.

But the hello kitty demigods were looking down upon me on Christmas day. We were at bonifacio high street and what i thought was just another futile routine when i enetered the shop proved me wrong. I squelled with delight when i saw that crocs at BHS still have them. What a nice christmas gift eh? :)

Do you still remember your high school and college days wherein it seems that every subject you’ve had and every teacher or professor required you to submit essay as a project or an assignment? I even remember that most writing subjects and even history and political subjects would include essay type questionnaires in our examination papers. Sometimes writing those essays were just a breeze but most of the time I ended up scratching my head especially on how to begin my essay. Essay should be informative and fun to read, but I also like essays that pose a question to its reader, but as a student then, I was not very good in writing essays and I am not saying that I am good now in writing essays, far from it but thankfully I have this blog to express myself. But really, I am telling you kids, you’re life are way too easy with Google and the internet at your fingertips. You have an assignment or a research project, essays to write and you just go the internet and practically everything you need is there. That’s why I am envious with students these days that have the internet to turn to for ideas, I said ideas not plagiarizing or copying essays posted online.

Yeah ako na ang adik. So i went back last friday at forever 21 megamall anticipating that the whole hello kitty collection is already out only to be disappointed. Mas marami pa ang items nila nun nagpunta ako nun thursday kesa nun official launch nun 18. Dutch why i was very thankful na nagpunta ako nun thursday and bought the red cardigan kasi wala na agad nun friday. Not sure if maraming gaya ko na adik at naubos agad stock nila or tinago. Well anyways i wanted to go to forever 21 makati branch but i have a prior lakad na dinner sa megamall with my ofcmates and i cant drag all of them to makati just so i can get my hello kitty. And to top it nawalan na naman ako ng hello kitty earings huhuhuhu :( it was only when we were sitted at Mannangs and ordered that i realised na nawawala yun hello kitty earings ko. Kalungkot! I've had those earrings for more than 10 years pos nawala lang.

Anyways i had a happy saturday naman. Visited forever 21 in makati and boy im sooo glad that nagsadya akodun. Definitely mas okay talaga yung forever 21 sa makati, store is bigger with more stocks! But it seems hindi pa rin talaga lahat ng hello kitty items eh nakalabas. And ambilis maubos a. Anyways i spotted a very nice black jacket sa manequin but cant find it sa display so i asked the sales guy ubos na raw. Eh i really wanted the jacket so i asked him if pwede ba yun suot na lang ng manequin. keri daw so Gora! as in pinahubad ko yun jacket sa manequin. Hehehehe. Medyo nahirapan tuloy sila hanapan ng kapalit na damit yun hinubadan ko na manequin. See photo below yun asa dulo na naka sweat pants

Here's the uber cute hooded jacket na inagaw ko sa manequin. Buti na lang kasya yun sa akin (tsinek ko naman yun siZe bago ko pinahubad sa manequin yun jacket). Anyways it has 2 front pocket and zips all the way through. Onthe right chest meron HK broze studded letter. What won me over though is the huge hello kitty face embroidery at the back. Sorry no picture of the cute face. And the cloth texture is really nice and fits snuggly.

Abother item that i bought. Long back shirt with a kick ass big hello kitty face :-)

Wearing both the jacket and the shirt. I reall wish magkaron or ilabas na lahat ng hello kitty items. Still waiting for that dress and blue long sleeves from the collection. Also i am thinking of getting the scarf. Should i buy it or not?

thoughts about puerto galera

So these are random thoughts i have or my impressions of puerto galera from a first timer's or galera virgin's point of view

1. Mahalsha! Yup mahal ang bilihin. I was really surprised mas mahal ang bilihin at food sa puerto galera kesa boracay! though mura yun souvenir shirts

2. It seems big but the white beach is short. Sorry thou shall not compare two beautiful place.

3. I love the waves. Mabula bula and not your typical wave na mataas. It seems galing sa ilalim yun wave i dunno how to explain it but its a nice photo opp.

4. And sakit lumakad sa batuhan! Mabato ang beach though pagkalagpas naman smooth na ang buhangin sa dagat. But i enjoyed picking stones for our aquarium. Maganda yun mga bato nya,naturally smooth and circular pang aquarium talaga. Shhh dont tell naguwe ako, wala pa naman 2kilo na bato ang inuwe ko mabigat na ang bagahe ko no heheheh.

5. Limited choice ng restaurant or food or di lang ako nagresearch kun san ba okay.

6. they love gay people and two thumbs up to the bar owners. It seems lahat ng bars dun mostly employ gay. And i just have to add na ang gagabda ng mga muher. Kabog!

Hello Kitty Collection at Forever 21

Yay! Nakabili na ko ng isang sweater from the hello kitty collection of forever 21. Achuli di ako makatulog kagabi at atat na ko kagabi pa magpunta ng megamall to visit forever21 store kasi nabasa ko sa facebook page nila na may mga items na nga nakalabas even though this 18 or tomorrow pa talaga yun official launch ng hello kitty collection. Kinabahan ako baka maubos agad. Will visit the store again tomorrow to buy yun ibang items na inaabangan ko. :) i know kababawan much but what can i do? I'm addicted to hello kitty!
Will update this post later to post pic of my loot :) sa sobrang excitement ko kanina sa store di ko na napicturan yun mga items na meron na. So if you are reading this now and near a forever 21 store. Gora na. Buy na. Baka maubos :)

it's common knowledge here that i love wearing nail polish, there was even a time that i change my nail polish color every day. yup i am crazy like that *wink* and i love experimenting too in putting my own designs in my nail polish. but anyways, most girls would agree with me that it is a different feeling if you're all dressed up and the topping of it is your nail polish. (if you're looking for a nice nail polish, you should try Julep)

here's a revelation - it was only a few years when i started working that i entered a salon for a mani and pedi service. yes, i have always done it myself and kind of proud of it but as a working girl you tend to have limited time with yourself so i tried getting a service - a manicure and pedicure and it was good, though there were some unfortunate instances that some attendants hurt my feet. from then on i love going to the salon to have my nails done, then one attendant offered me spa manicure and pedicure and i was like what is that? and then he explained me the procedure and how it works and i've agreed to get that spa manicure and pedicure and oh boy it was heaven. it's like really being pampered to the max and i usually get that especially when i am stressed out.

but these past months i have been too busy even to set an appointment or visit a salon for that much needed mani and pedi service, or even have a spa :( i should put this one on my priority list this weekend. how about you? when was the last time you had a "me" time and pampered yourself in a salon?

I decided to give twitter a second chance. I already had a heyokity twitter account before but ended up deleting it just mere hours after creating the account because i sorta 'followed' the wrong people and it felt like all they do in twitter is bash and say bad things about other people. So i decided that i'm not fit for twitter. But then came iOS5. I absolutely love it. So what does updating/upgrading to iOS5 got anything to do with me tweeting again? As you know they built-in twitter in the new iphone OS 5 and anything i click: like pictures, websites, you have an option to tweet it. Very convenient.

iPhone 4 zoom lens sample pictures

to the anonymous commenter who asked me to post pictures taken using my iPhone with and with out the zoom lens, here it is... but before anything else let me tell you something about the iPhone camera, ever since i've had Pandora (the name i call my iPhone 4, yeah i'm silly like that hehehe) i knew that even if i dont have my digicam or slr with me, i can take good pictures because iPhone4's camera is sooo good i always use it and it is handy, and i agree that the best camera you have is the one you have in your hand. most photos i upload now in my facebook account and in here are taken using Pandora so regular readers (as if me regular reader hahaha) know that i am telling the truth. sometimes i even get better result using iphone instead of m digicam or slr, no kidding :)

now comes the sample pictures taken using iPhone with zoom lens, as you would notice the pictures are grainy maybe because the light is also low being taken during a sunset, but still produce a nice result and as you would notice from pictures taken with out the zoom lens, the magnification is quite good to think that this is just as soon as you put the zoom lens, not using the full zoom of the phone yet. unfortunately i was having a good time at boracay that i didnt try taking pictures in broad daylight with zoom lens for comparison, maybe i'll do that when i am not too felling lazy.

newspaper nail polish

I usually paint my nails but it has been a while since i've done that until a few weeks ago when i found out about the newspaper nail polish trick. I find this design really cool and i know i just have to do it and see it on my nails. My first wasnt really successful, you can just barely see the newspaper print (that was because i realized now that you should really use a "rubbing alcohol"). So here's a picture of my second attempt in putting newspaper print on my nails, not yet good but with practice i am going to perfect it. =)

How to do the newspaper print nail art?

1. Put a base coat, i prefer colorless but you can also use light colored nail polish so that the print get to really stand out

2. Wet your fingernails or dip it into rubbing alcohol. I insist you use rubbing alcohol otherwise the print wont really transfer onto your nails

3. Its best if you already have cut out strips of newspaper, small but big enough to fit in your nails. Put that bewspaper onto your wet nails and dab a bit more alcohol on top. Press it a bit securely and wait a bit to dry out. then take off the newspaper and put a new coat of colorless quickdry and that's it!

we only have one earth, that is fact. i once read that "we do not own this earth. we just borrowed it from our children" and i totally agree with whoever wrote that. which is why we should love this earth, the place we call home. and it saddens me that there are some people who have no regard to the destruction of the environment in order to gain monetary value, whatever compensation they get now will be nothing compared to what will be our future if we don't stop in destroying our environment. i am not trying to sound like an all knowing person but we can all help the environment if we want to. it doesn't have to be real big, even small act of kindness to the environment counts. like, keeping your candy wrapper in your pocket instead of just throwing it everywhere can make a difference. i know it sounds petty but if everyone will think alike that it is okay to throw their candy wrappers anywhere, then the whole world is just one big trash can then. and aside from that, we can help too in the products we buy and the stuff we use in our home and in our offices. i am so grateful that the consumer awareness has opened up to the eco-friendly products and we should fully support and buy those biodegradable products whenever we can. they may cost a bit more than your normal product but remember you are buying as well the future of the environment for your kids' sake.there are a lot of stores offering environment friendly products, and Ethical Ocean is one of that.

Welcome to the Philippines! You’ve probably noticed that Filipinos are friendly, accommodating, and nice all around. For starters we are always smiling. It is not true that we are always smiling, but it is likely we do it more than your people. This is because it is so much more pleasant than frowning or scowling.

And people generally look better when they’re smiling, no? Here in Manila there is so much aggravation to put up with. It’s sweltering even when it’s rainy, the traffic is horrendous, it’s noisy and poverty is widespread. Smiling is the last thing one feels like doing under these circumstances. If you think about it, smiling in these conditions is a form of protest. It is a way of rising above the situation. It is not, as you might think, a vapid reflex.

Your people probably have a lot more to smile about than we do. They should smile more, it would make them look younger.

Right now we’re smiling at you because we are curious as to what you, a foreigner, are doing in our country. Are you a corporate executive, a chef, a diplomat? A retired soldier fetching your fiancée whom you met online, or a Brazilian model? A Peace Corps volunteer or an NGO worker? A tourist drawn by our famous beaches, or just looking to get laid? 2. It is hot and humid in Manila so we sweat a lot. In order to stay cool and refreshed we take baths or showers every day, if not two or three times a day. If those of us who were born and raised here find it hot, it must be positively infernal for those of you from America, Europe, Australia-NZ and the temperate zone!

You must shower every day, if not several times a day. For maximum refreshment we recommend generous applications of soap, shampoo, and antiperspirants. Just dousing yourself in cologne is not enough to cool you down. Take a shower every day, you’ll feel so much better.

i dunno with you but i really find it weird finding a barcode in the middle of the book. bought this book from power books at shangri la mall a few days ago and was really surprised to see this barcode lying at the center of the book. completely new with sticker on and with those tiny wires, i dunno what you call those tracking thingy that is supposed to set off the alarm when you get our of a store without paying. nah i paid for the book and the book was sealed when i got it and the alarm didnt went off as well when i passed thru it but really, i just find it weird finding a bar code in the middle of a book. so it says barcode 80025 75540 wonder why they would put it in a book, was it a mistake or what? i dunno, just find it weird.

who doesn't want to be rich? i guess none... everyone wants to be rich. there are a lot of stories from rags to riches and we all want that to happen to us and those stories inspire us to work harder and achieve our dreams but sometimes it seems that we are too far in reaching our goal and the road to success is difficult. but do not stop from dreaming and working to try and achieve your goals. you just have to open your eyes and find ways how to become rich. yeah we have our day jobs that put food in the table but that isn't enough to support our hobbies. so what else should we do to earn money? you may have heard that you can make money online, and yes it is true. there is money online and if you know what you're doing or just love what you're doing the money will come in. but it is not as easy as you think, earning online is still work and you also have to work hard on it to start earning. as a testimonial, i was able to buy my dslr camera using the money i earned online. i know, whatever i earned online is a pittance compared to others who are earning online but it is still good. there are lots of ways to make money online, some earn through blogging, signing up or putting up advertisement on their blogs or website, others use the internet to sell their stuff online and get a really nice profit, those are just some ways how to earn online. i'm not saying that trying to earn online can make you rich but there are a lot of persons who earned their fortune online, take the google and facebook founder, they are the institution now. who knows the next big thing cold be you? just dream and work hard. :)

On January 24 a very dear friend and colleague Gerry Ortega was shot in the head dead. I was just with him that weekend – and a few minutes before he died what we were discussing over the phone was an anti-mining campaign in Palawan – given that on December two huge mining applications were railroaded – and they were to be near protected sites.

Gerry is dead but we will not let go of his dreams – and mine – and probably yours too.

Palawan has 17 key biodiversity sites - which means it is part of the 70% biodiversity sites which are essential for sustaining life in the planet. It has 2 world heritage sites, 8 protected sites. Yet if you see Palawan on the map you will note that it is a very thin island – which is 82% mountain. It means that if the forest gets denuded and the minerals excavated – the tailings seep directly into the sea affecting the coral reefs. The top soil is thin – and the island eco system is fragile.

Mining is not the way to go for Palawan . I have five eco tourism sites wherein the communities involved can now send their children to school, can dream bigger dreams. Mayor Hagedorn in Puerto Princesa has banned mining and logging – and focused on tourism and agriculture. From 2 flights a week, Puerto Princesa now boasts 10 flights a day. His revenues have gone up from several million to several billion.
Mining as an economic path in a magnificent “Last Frontier” is based on a paradigm of economic growth that is myopic and archaic . In this age of climate change and global warming any economic development that does not recognize and revere the web of life should be thrown in the dustbin.

Missing the ‘snail’ mail? At this age and day that technology is the rage it is still nice to receive a real letter, right? A handwritten letter that is stamped and posted to your mail. Receiving a real mail nowadays is such a rarity that you almost want to rip the envelope out and read your letter as soon as you get it from your mailbox.

But sadly, with the advent of technology, so is the proliferation of junk mails. Yes, not only you get junk mails on your email but also in your physical mailbox! Some advertisers seem to get hold of your mailing address, sell it to whomever and voila, you get stuff on your mailbox - stuff that you don’t want and immediately gets thrown at the garbage. It really is such a drag to open the mailbox these days just to find unwanted mail. I find it really irritating specially if you are anticipating a mail and check your mailbox and finds that what you have is just trash, or you have to dig through and sort your mails first to be able to see your “real” email.

Thankfully there are organizations that can help you Stop Junk Mail and get rid of those unwanted mails in your physical inbox. They have means and ways to help you get unlisted of those lists of marketers. Come to think of it, it is scary in some ways knowing that these marketers get hold of your personal information, and it would be really swag to get rid of those junk mails.

how to get that piso fare and other seat sale

you want to travel but airfare cost is keeping you from doing so? the you'd better grab those piso fare and seat sales from our local airlines! i know you're gonna say that those mythical piso fare aint real and even if they are - its soooo difficult to get them. yup! that's what i thought too... until i started getting and availing that elusive piso fare :)

well actually its not really piso cause they would add up some taxes and fees and the bill you'll get is about 99 pesos for a roundtrip airfare already... but still sobrang mura compared to those other seat sales right? mas mahal pa ang taxi fare ko pauwe ng bahay or mas mahal pa ang value meal mo diba?

basically its cebu pacific airlines who always have the lowest seat sale available but dont disregard those promo seat sale from other airlines like seair, zest air, airphil, and yes sometimes PAL though i was able to book one promo package from PAL but that one was like 4 years ago. :D

okay so paano nga ba makakuha ng piso fare? sign-up with airlines' newsletter, be a part of a forum (girltalk), 'like' their facebook fan page because they normally announce upcoming seat sale in their fb page (with cebu pacific the announcement is usually made at 12 noon or 12 midnight) rand most importantly have friends who will call you in the middle of the night just to inform you that there is an ongoing seat sale :D

but really! the savings you'll made with airfare can already cover your accommodation for your dream vacation/travel... just for comparison, so that you'll know how cheap seat sales compared to regular fare: last january 11, i went to cagayan de oro and bought the ticket few days before departure at regular fare: PHP 4,282 compared to the piso fare i got last june 2010 and travel on jan 2011 din but the cost is only PHP 97 only. opo roundtrip yan! matagal nga lang yun travel dates when buying seat sale pero you can also plan when you want to have the vacay and save travel money. i'll just put in table yun fares that i got and dates for you to see the huge difference in air fare. amount listed in the table is per head and roundtrip cost

well guess what? this time around it's gabriel who did something stupid! apparently he put a piece of rice, yup as in bigas, inside his ears! he asked the help of his older cousin, my other pangkin to give him something to remove it and told him not to tell us grown-ups whats going on, but thankfully my SIL saw it today and riza was able to remove it using an ear pump or irrigation, dunno whats the medical term.

Summer na talaga... though makulimlim at umaambon ngayon, at abril na eh malamig pa ang hangin sa umaga - simoy disyembre pa rin.

Bakasyon na ang mga estudyante kaya hayan bike maghapon ang mga bata. Kakatuwa marunong na mga pangkin ko na magbike ng single, yun wala na pang balance :)

Actually kahapon lang natuto ng bonga si chelsea at syempre super proud sya. Alala ko nun isang araw umuwe umiiyak nasugatan kasi sumemplang, sabi ko sa kanya ganun talaga pag nag-aaral magbike, di matuto hanggat di nasusugatan. Galing nya nga eh 4 pa lang sya marunong na magbike eh ako mga 10 na ako nun matuto magbike at syempre sangkaterbang gasgas sa tuhod at siko rin ang nakuha ko.

Sa pagaaral ng pagba-bike kasi mas una mo makukuha ang medalya bago yun diploma.

Chelsea has grown up so fast, she just graduated from nursery but i feel like she's already old but come to think of it para naman di sya talaga naging baby hahaha...

Anyways, chealsinsm time again and this time its about crushes and love. Hahaha ang hitad marunong na ng mga chorva!

A few weeks ago ganito ang eksena sa bahay: my mother's sick but still wants to go to the market (dont ask me why makulit ang nanay ko, may sakit na nagaadik pa mamalengke) well heniweys sabi ni padir kay mudra samahan na lang kita. Aba biglang sumabat ang bruhildang chelsea at sabi kay padir. "tatay crush mo ba si nanay?" wahahaha laughtrip kaming lahat sa bahay. Pumatol pa ang tatay kong magaling at sagot kay chelsea oo crush ko. Then chelsea asked again: "crush na crush?" my padir replied yes crush na crush. Hahaha

One time while watching a teleserye chelsea asked my ate, "mama, love mo ba si papa?" then my ate answered bakit? Oh diba sagutin ng tanong din. Lol. Then chelsea said "kasi away away mo si papa" then everyone was silent... Then she proceed on saying dapat love lang walang away masama yun.

i have been considering getting a prescription glass for quite sometime already because i was bothered the last time i visited an ophthalmologist for check up due to eye irritation... you know that whatever eye infection/irritation or problem it is SOP with these eye doctors to check you vision and have you read through the eye exam chart and it bothered me to know that my vision is no longer 20/20! :(

i was told it is still okay but nevertheless i want to correct the problem and get back my 20/20 vision hehehe so i was scouring for stylish and affordable glasses, i have been looking for cats eye glass but not that radical in shape but kind of cat eye shape, i think you know what i'm saying, and i found this online glasses and fell in love with the design!

dont you just love vintage frames? but i am in a dilemma because i also like this one... so what do you think should fit me best?

good thing is that warby parker allows home try of 5 pairs for 5 days with no extra charge. now excuse me while i look for other 3 design that i would like to try on. and did i mention that it is cheap-o just 95$ (lenses included plus free shipping and returns) great deal huh

I have posted last 1/11/11 that finally i meet minda, meaning i have finally set foot at mindanao...

Though the reason for the visit wasnt a happy one im glad to be acquainted with the city that is dubbed the city of golden friendship...

Actually as early as june last year, i already have a booked flight to cagayan de oro for this january, tomorrow to be exact, to go and visit camiguin as my birthday getaway... Now i know how cagayan de oro's airport looks like and how the taxis are just in your face once you get out of the airport an that the drivers actually are outside their taxis and approache the passengers ... I dunno but that kinda put me off knowing as well that they want a kontrata type instead of metro. Good thing the last time i was there, there was a multicab waiting for us as sundo.

St. Agustine Cathedral.

Was not able to go inside and tAke pictures of the famous century old stained glass window that the church is proud of becUse there was a mass going on and the priest was giving homily.

Just outside the church, along the sidewalk are flower stores, some sells saint statues and candles...

And a park nearby can also be seen... Seems that most churches or plazas in these areas have One 'sentro'

Limketkai mall, one of the many malls within the city. This one is near the airport where we bought our pasalubong. But the newly built (i assume) sm cagayan de oro city is nearer the airport

Slers chicharon are the best! Though we already bought too many pasalubong from the limketkai mall, the chicharon displayed At this store caught our attention besides we were killing time. This slers store is at the irport and other stalls inside have some souvenir itemstoo where i gott my ref magnet. Anyways back to the chicharon, sler's are rally good. Soft but crunchy. Too bad i only bought one special with laman and the big 'one na balat lang which are priced 115 each. The chicharon was a blockbuster as in ubos agad! So a note to myself to buy more chicharon as psalubong when i get back

PS. All photis were taken using my phone's cAmera and this whole post was done via mobile, pardon the typo and other stuff mahirap pala mag blog ng mahaba just using a celphone. Coz for my past entries here i was using my phone too but just a few words nd more on pictures. Oh well whatever hehehe

i'm so proud of myself for being able to whip up this pretty hello kitty pancake! :)

aint this pancake so kittylicious? hehehe

took me one and a half hour to create these 16 hello kitty pancakes!

bought magnolia pancake ready to mix (with free syrup)

added a couple of eggs to make it more delicious

testing my hello kitty pancake maker :)

my first hello kitty pancake was a disaster! i didnt know that you have to wait for the batter to have bubbles before trying to turn it over hehehe good thing fb friends to the rescue (yep i was fb-ing while cooking hahaha)

the first 3 hello kitty pancakes are kinda so-so hahaha my nephews said its panget! to think they were so excited when i told them am going to make them some hello kitty pancakes

hmmm getting the hang of cooking the pancake

some are burnt, some are pale...

but still its fun making my own hello kitty pancakes... love it! :)

2011 is proving to be a great year already and we just barely had few hours of this brand new day!

It seems that everyone have a spring on their steps and there's renewed hope and faith in every one. I guess that's what new year brings. Humanity's collective hope, letting go of the past and welcoming the future. Really awesome :)

‎2010 is indeed a cat year!

the year started really well as i finally got the time and attended a photography workshop... to take better pictures of course and to learn how to use DSLR properly hahaha.... tho am not sure if my mentors will be happy with me coz some of my photos still are amateurish oh well... but at least i were able to use whatever knowledge i learned for a good cause when a colleague asked me to be one of the official photographer in an outreach program... thankful for the opportunity and to be able to help in my own little way.

i also get a chance to put what i learned at the workshop when i 'discovered' that Makati have the Caracol Festival, and i realized i love shooting such festivities and i wish i'd get a chance to capture all the local feasts such as the ati-atihan, masskara, etc.

though 2010 has been a great year, February has brought many deaths in the family and we travelled back and forth in Batangas to lay to rest a close relative. just barely days after the burial, an aunt died who lives in Mindoro and we had to go there as well... which is kind of good in a way to revisit the province that held so many childhood memories especially summertime... now i rarely visit there and only get the chance either that there's a wedding or a funeral.

it seems that 2010 has been a travel year for me... aside from the planned and unplanned trips i had lined up, work has required me to be at Clark, Subic, and Bataan a couple of times all throughout march and early april, hence the lack of posts (yeah i am making excuses because as much as i love traveling i realized that it can be tiring too!) one of the unexpected trips i had is a spur of the moment tagaytay roadtrip and it was the first time i tried zip line :)

aside from learning at FPPF i got to meet new people who shares the same passion with me - photography. my group "Team Maninilip" even had a roadtrip/photowalk at Batangas and tagaytay area sometime last March and it was a really nice experience doing a photoshoot with a group

i had the most awesome summer adventure which started off at Boracay with a side trip to Romblon! that was quite an experience and i'm still nagging myself why i still dont have a proper blog post of it!

and just a few hours after arriving in Manila from Romblon, i have embarked on my great north bound experience to Sagada on a Holy Week. If there is one place that i have visited in the Philippines that i would recommend you visit - it will be Sagada.

you cant say you have spelunk your ass if you haven't tried the cave connection of Sumaguing and Lumiang Cave in Sagada!

this year has been an eye opener as well when Sidney invited me to join him and other bloggers in a photowalk at "happy land". you can help these kids through Project Pearl.

last May i finally had a chance to see Pahiyas Festival in Lukban Quezon and get to ogle at the colorful decorated houses and taste lukban langonisa and pansit habhab. lots of things to celebrate this year including the recent marriage of one of my CHIPS gurls.

a lot to be thankful for and still so many place to visit so little time... and i thought i'm a certified beach addict but a nice dip in a pool with a serene place and a wonderful company can really make a big difference.

and i guess i fell in love with Cebu as i found myself once again at the Queen City, sky walking and whatnots =)

and it never fail to amaze me how beautiful our country is! i owe myself to write a post about Camotes Island... and i promise i will do a post about this enchanting island.

a lot has happened and i cant document everything in here as this is already a very long post... but suffice to say that 2010 has really been a great year for this cat and i thank God for all the blessings he showered me.... and i know that 2011 is going to be more awesome! Cheers to you all. :)
